Festival Fun

Yesterday I went to Wales to catch up with my family and to see my brother and his band SET THE FUSE play at an outdoor festival.

Set The FuseLeft to right – My brother, Gav, Dan & Joe.

We had such a brilliant day.  We watched loads of choirs and singers and I have to say I was SO proud of my brother.  He’s such a fantastic guitarist and I LOVE Set the Fuse.  They went down really well with the crowd, although I made sure I was cheering the loudest!  I can’t wait to see them play again.

It was also great to bump into some familiar faces that I hadn’t seen in ages – especially my old drama teacher, Martin.

Ah, Wales – I do love it.

Oh, I do love to be beside the seaside…

I’ve spent 5 days back home with my parents in Wales whilst I sort some wedding things out.  It’s made me realise how much I do love being by the sea.
There’s something about being near water that I find extremely calming.  I also find it really inspiring.  I could happily sit by the water and write all day long.

Lighthouse Wales

This lighthouse is on the beach near where my mum and dad live and I absolutely love it.  So much so that it’s inspired one of my ‘Miss Bumble’ books.

Maybe one day I’ll live by the sea again, who knows.
