I Got Married… Twice!

I can’t believe I’ve been a ‘wife’ for a whole week.
Last weekend was just one of the most brilliant weekends ever. Me and my hunk got married.  We had less than 100 people join us on both days, which meant we were surrounded by the people we love most in the world.

We got married in a castle and we had an English wedding and then on the Sunday we had a big Asian wedding/party.

I feel so blessed to have had that weekend with the people I love and to be spending the rest of my life with my best friend!

Today’s LOVE

I’m staying Wales at the moment with my parents as I’m busy trying to organise wedding things.
Today, we took a little drive out to Rhyl to see the new Harbour.  I absolutely loved it and felt so inspired. Even the dark cloud added to the atmosphere!

Love or Not to Love My Blog

Agh, I’m sad to say almost another year has gone by since I wrote a post on this blog.  That’s just rubbish.
The truth is, I think I fell out of love with blogging and so, I just stopped.

I think if you blog you have to be consistent and so, I just took a well needed break.

But, I’m back! Properly back!
Busy with lots of writing projects and can’t wait to keep blogging.  I’m trying for daily posts, but it might be every other day.  See how it goes.

Rainy Treats

There’s something about the rain that always makes me want to stay at home and read a book.

It’s raining here today and I’ve just been thinking how I haven’t picked up a book in yonks as I’ve been so busy this summer with work.

So my laptop is being switched off and I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon reading this:

Keris kindly sent me a copy a few weeks ago – and I started it and absolutely loved it, then I got thrown in to summer school’s and shows with work and had no time to pick it back up.
I’m going to start again, right from the very beginning and give it the attention it deserves.  I can’t wait.

You can get a copy here   and it’s only £3.69 if you order it from Amazon now – which is amazing.

Friday Three

There are loads of things that inspire me that I love.  I’m going to list my top three things every week – for fun!

BLAZERS
I totally love blazers and especially LOVE this one Kristen Stewart is wearing.  I REALLY want it!

PATTERN NAILS
I LOVE pattern nails (especially love the butterfly one in this pic)  Painting my nails always brightens my day.

THE HILLS

I’m absolutely OBSESSED with The Hills and the lives of Lauren, Heidi, Whitney and Audrina.  I love the arguments, the fashion and the backdrop of Hollywood.

Remember Me?!

I’m shocked that it’s almost a whole year since I blogged.  SHOCKING!
I really have missed blogging and so, I’m back… properly.

What have I done since my last post?

Err, well – I broke my wrist, left my day job, moved the business forwards and we finally moved in to our own studio and office.  I’ve been in one play and produced  three, two of which I wrote!

That’s it in a nutshell.  It’s been pretty busy, but I’ve enjoyed this year, so far.

Show Choir

So, I’m a fan of Glee.  (Although I’ve only seen the first series because I’m never in to watch TV and neeeeed Sky Plus.)
I love anything musical and camp.  So I’m delighted to have launched a Show Choir class for Elite Talent Theatre School.

We launched the class tonight.  Hannah and Gemma who teach the class are AMAZING.
They asked if I wanted to join in, and I declined.  However, halfway through I wished I’d have said yes, the class was brilliant.

I took some pics of the group.  They looked like they were enjoying it and I can’t wait to see what next week brings.

Desk Envy

Isn’t this desk beautiful?  I’ve fallen in love with it.  I found it on this site.  And if Anis is reading this, I would LOVE it when we move house! REALLY love it!

Speaking of writing, now that I’m off work for two weeks, I’m going to get lots done.  I have two plays to finish CHAPERONES and HIM.  I also need to finish my book A GUY CALLED PIG before my agent forgets I exist.

If only I had a desk like this to write on *sigh*

Summer Summed Up

How’s your summer been?

I know, I know – I’ve not posted anything for yonks, well the whole of the summer if we’re going to get picky.

Here’s my summer in a nutshell.

Day job – worked a million hours.  It’s just been horrible busy and not one part of it did I enjoy.  Except for giggles with the people I work with.

Make Believe – the play I co-wrote with Luke Walker got chosen as one of ten plays for his years 24:7 theatre festival. So I was juggling rehearsing in the day and day job at night.  It actually almost finished me off!
The play went really well though. We had fabulous audiences, great feedback and came joint 3rd for best play voted by the audience and also Equity awarded us 3rd best play.

The festival week was just chaos. We were determined to watch all the other plays, which we managed and so if we weren’t performing we were watching.  Met some fantastic people and felt really proud and honored to be a part of a fantastic festival.

I’m now an agent for kids and teens, I’m so thrilled.  Spent a couple of weekends auditioning some fantastic kids and meeting lovely, supportive parents.  Elite Talent Theatre School – my new business was set up and launched.  So happy that the Zion Centre have given us a home.  The adult class is bursting with people and the kids and teens classes have launched really well.  Got so many things planned for this Autumn.

My adult drama class had a summer school over the summer and performed TEECHERS by John Godber, which I directed.  They performed it to a SOLD OUT audience at the Taurus Bar, Manchester.  They were amazing and I’m still beaming with pride.

Squeak, the cat we were looking after (we thought she was a stray, but had a home – although not a good one).  Well she was really old and sadly died in our garden a couple of weeks ago.  We were left devastated.  Bubbles sadly saw her through the window and was also in mourning for a few days.  It’s been horrible.  She was a beautiful cat and we loved her, even though she wasn’t ours.

So it’s been a bit of a full-on summer.  Anis and I were hoping for a holiday, but no chance.
The fence blew down and other bits of bills came at once. So we’re having two weeks off as of tonight when I finish work. We’re going to have lots of day trips, although I’m not sure where we’re going, but we’ll be going somewhere!
